Burma Children's Fund
So, what was the problem?
Burma Children's Fund was founded by Colin & Johni van Orton after a visit to Burma in 2004. After touring Burma, they experienced what underprivileged life was like for young children and it was then that the Van Orton family decided they needed to make a difference.
Their sole aim was to collectively raise money to support Burmese children and orphans, but the problem was how to increase the awareness of such a new charity and market the importance of their vision without shelling out large unnecessary costs. Minimising overheads was vital to their fund raising success, but they knew an investment was required in order to carry out online promotion that the charity desperatey needed in order to encourage donations.
How did we help?
After being approached by Burma Children's Fund, it was apparent that Rawnet as a company also had the chance to make a difference. We then agreed to design and create a website for them with no charge attached in order to promote the charity online and provide a way for them to easily collect donations.
The happy ending
The organisation is reaping the benefits of the site and it has been successful in encouraging numerous donations. The committee now have a site to direct people to which has helped to spread the word and make the organisation a widely known charity. The children are the future of Burma and this website helps to promote why we need to invest in them to help strengthen the country in years to come.
