AlcoSense Case Study

So, what was the problem?

AlcoSense is a pocket sized alcohol brethalyser, a product new to the market. Although they were receiving orders via the telephone and dealerships, there was no dedicated website to drive direct sales.

The competition for portable breathalizers on the web was fierce, and the site needed to appeal to all visitors – driving clicks towards the purchasing page. They also needed a clear, simple way to track product serial number registrations.

How did we help?

We first created a site map that we felt was simple for the visitor. We needed to explain the benefits of the product, but also overcome the difficulties of selling tactile products over the web. This was aided by a virtual demo of the product, plus testimonials, images and features. The overall solution was a clean, modern, simple design to get across product information and a streamlined purchased process.

The e-commerce was hugely simplified, given that only one product was on offer, allowing orders to be taken in under 3 clicks of the mouse. Orders are securely transmitted to AlcoSense for shipping and payment processing (all data is encrypted using PGP).

The happy ending

With an efficient CPC (Cost Per Click) advertising campaign in place to attract visitors searching for breathalysers, the cost per aquisition was extremely low. The site converts more visitors into customers than we ever could have imagined, and the return on investment for the site was covered in weeks rather than months. The site has also been successful in attracting new dealers, which has been benefitical towards the growth of the business.
