Web Applications
Only as complicated as they need to be.
At the core of our business, we are passionate about the planning, development and testing of our web-based application, allowing us to offer the highest quality solution to all sizes of problem.
In the end, we're problem solvers, but projects usually start with clients coming to us saying "we want a new site." Our response to that is to go back to the beginning: why do you want a new site? What problem are you trying to solve? What are you trying to achieve? It's amazing how taking that one step back at the beginning can lead to a much better result at the end. It's sort of like doing a long jump: that one extra step gives you the momentum you need to actually reach the sandpit and avoid looking foolish in front of your classmates.
The techy bit
For those of you with technology-induced narcolepsy, skip on by this section. It's where we talk about just what goes on under the bonnet of those amazing sites you see with our name across the bottom.
Adobe's ColdFusion is our lingua franca, backed by MySQL databases. This platform allows us to develop powerful solutions quickly and simply based on both the strength of the world's most popular open source database server, and the stability of a commercial product that powers sites for 75 of the US Fortune 100 companies.
Keeping up with the Joneses
Some development teams drift along in their own little world, building the same thing again and again, never improving, never changing. We like change. We like challenges. If someone comes along with a new way of doing things that will mean we can do things faster, better, then we're the first in the queue.
We understand that just because we know ColdFusion like the back of our hands, it doesn't mean it's the right solution to every problem. In recent months we've also completed a number of projects using technologies and frameworks such as Ruby on Rails, PHP and Adobe Flex to solve our client's problems.
