It’s not every day an astronaut calls the office, but a few weeks back Mark Shuttleworth, the founder of the Ubuntu Project (and space tourist!) got in touch and asked for Rawnet’s help.
For the last two weeks we have been working with Canonical, on the visual prototypes for the next-generation Ubuntu, an operating system based on Linux - a free alternative for Windows for home and corporate users.

In the first steps of a very exciting journey, the ideas we helped to design could hopefully change the way we interface with our computers in the future. Our experience of Graphical User Interfaces for web usability were a perfect match for this ground breaking work.
The visuals we created will be presented on the Ubuntu Developer Summit in Prague and then developed further. All we can say – the future of Desktop OS is looking very exciting!
